Message	of the wheel. This keeps the outside from getting any outer rim damage. Common practice for dished/lipped rims. Although they may look sometimes a little "rinky-dink"...go to one of those small hole in the wall rim shops that sell nothin' but bling-tastic dubs or bigger. It's their business to mount large, expensive rims with rubber bands. LaterZ, BCs300z
